Celebrity power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are reportedly planning to relocate to London with their children, Vamika and Akaay, according to recent revelations from Dr. Sriram Nene, husband of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit.
In a YouTube conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr. Nene talking about the couple said, “I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times; he’s just a decent human being.” Sharing a bit more, he added, “We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. We appreciate what they go through because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated.”
Dr Nene also talked about how tricky fame can be and the intense public scrutiny celebrities face in India. While he considers himself easygoing, he admitted there are times when constant selfie requests start to feel intrusive. “I get along with everyone; I’m bindaas. But even there, it becomes challenging. There’s always a selfie moment. Not in a bad way, but there comes a time when it becomes intrusive, when you’re at dinner or lunch, and you have to be polite about it. For my wife, it becomes an issue. But (Anushka and Virat) are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally,” he added.
Further confirming the news, Virat’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, told Dainik Jagran, “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon.”
The couple’s concern for privacy has always been there since their marriage in 2017, particularly following the birth of their daughter Vamika in 2021 and son Akaay more recently.
