BTS’ V’s Military Pictures Go Viral; Fellow Military Soldier Pens Sweet Note For Kim Taehyung For Helping Him

Kim Taehyung's fellow soldier from the military shares photos with him and a heartfelt thank-you note.

BTS member and international sensation V, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently received a heartfelt thank-you note from one of his fellow soldiers. The two served together in the Special Duty Team (SDT). The soldier took to social media to share pictures from their time in the military, reminiscing about the moments they spent together and how Kim Taehyung inspired him.

V’s military friend wrote an emotional note, expressing how inspired he was by the singer’s dedication and hard work. He highlighted the singer’s achievements during their service, including earning first place in winter city training and in full-arm shooting. Despite facing injuries, the singer was also honoured with a Military Police Exemplary Award.

Heartfelt note for Kim Taehyung

V’s friend, who goes by the username ‘win._.min_223’, wrote a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for his military service. The note reads, “There were so many things I was thankful for during my military service, but I couldn’t express them in words, so I’m here to convey my sincerity like this. He further added, ” Even though his shoulders, thighs, and overall body were not in good shape, he won first place in shooting as a full-shot marksman, first place in winter urban training and shooting, and even received the Military Police Model Award for his fighting spirit after being injured”. The message went on., “Most of all, thanks to the consistency and passion shown by my brother, I was able to push my dream of becoming a rehabilitation therapist even harder and not give up on my exercise and studies throughout my military career.”He concluded by stating, “My military life was more enjoyable because of my brother. I’ll be steady, not giving up, just like you, hyung. Always be healthy, Hyung.”

Kim Taehyung’s service in military

Renowned Korean artist Taehyung began his mandatory military service in 2023, alongside BTS’s leader, Kim Namjoon. While he was expected to undergo the standard training that other BTS members participated in, Taehyung chose to join the Special Duty Team, which specialises in counter-terrorism. As a result, he has been inactive on social media. However, when one of his military comrades shared something online, fans flooded the comments with praise for the beloved singer.

On the work front, V has released three solo songs as part of BTS: “Stigma” in 2016, “Singularity” in 2018, and “Inner Child” in 2020.
