New Delhi: Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva released in theatres today. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in key roles. Shah Rukh Khan also plays an extended cameo in the film. Those who have watched the film have termed it a “revolution” in the Hindi film industry. Predictions from all corners also suggest that Brahmastra is here to end Bollywood dry spell despite calls for boycott. Brahmastra was announced as a three part trilogy. While fans dive deep into the world of astraverse, makers have announced Brahmastra Part 2: Dev. The title of the second movie was revealed by the production team at the end of the first one. “Brahmastra Part 2: Dev” will be the title of the second movie set in the astraverse universe.

Although it is unknown who will play Dev in the second instalment, there have been numerous rumours that Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan have been approached to take the lead role. Dev’s character is well established in the first movie of the trilogy. The second one now has room for an intriguing tale centred on him. Ayan Mukerji was in charge of directing Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva. The director had earlier proven his storytelling skills with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Wake Up Sid, among others.
To provide some context for Dev, the character aspires to become the greatest power ever by obtaining “Brahmastra.”
One of the most expensive movies to be released this year is Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, which had a budget of more than Rs 350 crore. The movie was made available in English, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Advance reservations totaling more than Rs 18 crore have already been made.
