The Indian box office is witnessing a clear divide as Dhurandhar continues its unstoppable run, while new releases struggle to match its momentum. As the Ranveer Singh led film posts massive numbers even in its second weekend, movies like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 and Akhanda 2: Thaandavam are feeling the heat and showing slower growth.
Here’s a look at how much each film has collected so far at the box office.
Dhurandhar box office collection day 9:
Dhurandhar has shown an exceptionally strong run at the box office, delivering impressive numbers across its first nine days in India (all languages). The film opened big with Rs 28 crore on Day 1, followed by solid growth over the first weekend Rs 32 crore on Saturday and a massive jump to Rs 43 crore on Sunday. As expected, collections dipped on Monday to Rs 23.25 crore, but the film quickly stabilised, earning Rs 27 crore each on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This consistent performance helped Dhurandhar close its first week with a total of Rs 207.25 crore.
The second week began on a positive note, with the film collecting Rs 32.5 crore on its second Friday, indicating strong hold and audience interest. On Day 9 (second Saturday), Dhurandhar witnessed a huge surge once again, earning an estimated Rs 53 crore. With this, the film’s total India net collection stands at approximately Rs 292.75 crore in just nine days.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 box office collection day 2:
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has been struggling at the box office mainly because of the strong Dhurandhar fever in theatres. Even after two days of release, the film has not been able to attract much audience.
The Kapil Sharma starrer earned Rs 1.85 crore on its first day and showed a small rise on Day 2 with a collection of Rs 2.50 crore. This brings its India net total to Rs 4.35 crore. Despite a known cast, the film is finding it difficult to compete with the dominant box office performance of Dhurandhar.
Akhanda 2 box office collection day 2:
Meanwhile, box office trends show a mixed picture across releases. While Dhurandhar continues to dominate theatres, other films are feeling the pressure. Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, starring South superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna, saw a noticeable dip in collections on its second day despite a strong opening.
The film earned Rs 8 crore from paid previews on Thursday and followed it up with an impressive Rs 22.5 crore on Friday. However, collections dropped to Rs 15.50 crore on Saturday. Even with this decline, the film’s India net total stands at Rs 46 crore, The action drama also features Harshali Malhotra, Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Saswata Chatterjee in key roles.
