Though BTS is currently on hiatus, ARMY never stops loving them — and now, their devotion has entered the record books again. Yeontan, BTS’s V (Kim Taehyung)’s precious Pomeranian, has been officially declared Billboard’s Favourite Celebrity Pet. This occasion was filled with smiles and tears from fans everywhere on the globe.

Yeontan, fondly known as “Tannie,” though no longer with us, his legacy keeps shining. In the Billboard poll, he outvoted some of the most well-known celebrity pets, including Taylor Swift’s cats (Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin) and Ariana Grande’s pets (Toulouse, Myron, and Piggy Smallz).
By a landslide 94% majority of the votes, Yeontan unmistakably stole the night. It’s evidence that there is no one who touches people’s hearts as Tannie. His memory and charisma still continue to thrive thanks to the universal love of all his fans.

Yeontan, who passed away in December 2024, was more than a pet to the fans. From the initial sightings in the behind-the-scenes cutouts to snuggling in V’s arms in live streams, he became a sign of comfort, companionship, and affection. His small size, stubborn little trot, and big eyes made him instantly unforgettable to ARMY, who bestowed the nickname, Tannie, upon him. Tae had earlier shared the sad news of his dog Yeontan’s demise on Instagram last year. “In fact, I am writing this today because Yeontan went on a long trip with dogs recently. I considered a lot on how to write this story, but I believe it is appropriate to tell everyone who has sent me so much love thus far, so I chose to share the information.”. I would like it if the ARMYs could remind Yeontan to be happy even among the stars. I wish you a cozy end of the year where you can say I love you to the people you love around you again. I hope the army members will always remain healthy until the day we meet again! I love you thank you,” he added in his post.
