Bollywood actor Sunny Deol made his first public appearance at the teaser launch of Border 2 after his father and veteran actor Dharmendra’s death. The actor received immense love at the event and was also seen getting emotional.
Sunny Deol was moved to tears after seeing the love for Border 2. He even narrated the dialogue from his movie and received a loud cheer. He said, “Aawaz kahaan tak jaani cahiye, Lahore tak (How far should the voice go? all the way to Lahore).”
This is also his first public appearance after his father Dharmendra’s death on November 24, 2025. He also held a prayer meeting with his family to honour and celebrate the legacy of Dharmendra.
Earlier, Hema Malini also hosted a prayer meet for Dharmendra in Delhi. While recalling her association with Dharmendra, she revealed, “Dharmendra ji se mera association 57 saal ka hai. Jab main film industry mein aayi tab se mujhe unke saath zyada tar filmein karne ka avasar mila. Nearly 45 films—we worked together. Hum dono ko ek hit pair ke roop mein industry bhi pyaar karti thi aur janta ne bhi humein khoob pyaar diya.”
Dharmendra, lovingly called He-Man of Bollywood, was one of the most successful actors in Indian film industry. In a career spanning over six decades, he gave several blockbuster movies. He is survived by his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini and his six children.
Talking about Border 2, the movie also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana and Paramvir Cheema in the lead roles. It will release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
