Satish Kaushik passes away: In the early hours of Thursday, actor Anupam Kher tweeted that actor-director Satish Kaushik has passed away (March 9).
While expressing his condolences, Anupam Kher tweeted, “I know that death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I had not thought even in my wildest dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend someday. Such a sudden full stop to a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH!.”

About Satish Kaushik
Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, and producer. On April 13, 1965, he was born in Haryana. He performed in theatres before breaking into Bollywood.
Throughout his career as a movie actor, he is most known for his portrayals of Calendar in the superhero movie Mr. India from 1987, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana from 1997, and Chanu Ahmed in Sarah Gavron’s 2007 British film Brick Lane. The Filmfare Best Comedian Award was also given to Satish Kaushik in 1990 for Ram Lakhan and in 1997 for Saajan Chale Sasural.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
