On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the entire city of Mumbai was immersed in the colours of devotion and gaiety. Since last night, many film stars were seen bringing Bappa to their homes and after the installation this morning, they celebrated the festival with full devotion and joy and received the blessings of the Lord.

Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Suniel Shetty, Rupali Ganguly and Urmila Matondkar shared their Ganesh Chaturthi messages on Instagram. Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared an old video and expressed how much she is missing bringing Bappa home this time.
Sonu Sood, Sharvari, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ananya Panday, Varun Konidela, Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, Kunal Khemu with his daughter Inaaya Naumi Khemu and Bharti Singh with her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa were seen welcoming Bappa.
Other stars who attended the grand event included Arjun Bijlani, Ankita Lokhande, Alisha Panwar, Hansika Motwani, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, Yuvika Chaudhary and dancer-choreographer Dhanashree Verma.
Quashing divorce rumours, actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi together. The two were seen in similar traditional attire and also distributed sweets to the media outside their house. When asked about the rumours, Sunita said, “Controversy sunne aaye ho ya Ganpati ke darshan karne,” and then both of them continued their conversation with smiles and distributed sweets.
Actress Jacqueline Fernandez said, “Welcoming Bappa home for the very first time. May this new beginning be filled with blessings, love, and light. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
Nimrat Kaur visited GSB Seva Mandal and shared her pictures on Instagram and wrote, “Aala Re Aala!!! Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
Actress Aahana Kumra had “darshan at Lalbaugcha Raja and Mumbaicha Raja on the very first day” on the very first day of the festival.
Sagarika Ghatge and her husband, former cricketer Zaheer Khan shared adorable pictures of their son Fatehsingh’s first Ganesh Chaturthi on Instagram. In one photo, little Fatehsingh was seen extending his hand towards a plate of modaks. The couple wrote in the caption, “Ganpati Bappa Morya happy Ganesh Chaturthi from us to you!”
