Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, riding high on recent acclaim for his performances in “Animal” and “Aashram,” has opened up about his sons Aryaman and Dharam Deol’s preparing to enter the world of cinema. In a candid interview with Instant Bollywood, revealed that both his children are currently assisting directors and photographers, steadily learning the craft behind the camera.
He described both boys as “bahot mehnati” (very hardworking) and shared that just as he was once protected as the youngest in his own family but later he later realized the importance of letting them face the world independently and learn on their own.
He said emphasizing their dedication.“Bahot mehanti hai mere dono bete. Maine Hamesh unse kaha hai ki..kyounki main sabse chota tha ghar mein toh mujhe bahot protected rakha tha. Lekin maine apne bachon ko protect kiya bahot. Lekin fir maine realise kiya nai duniya ko face karna sikha hai toh appko unhe chodhna padega. Wo mehnat kar rahe hai, assist kar rahe hai directors ko aur photographers ko..seekh rahe hai, samjh rahe hai.”

Bobby also admitted he had once considered discouraging them from acting, aware of the challenges in the industry and prioritised their education not for grades, but for intellectual growth “Maine kaha padho, aap kuch aur karo lekin main yeh nahin keh raha ki aap kuch aur hi karo. Maine unko kabhi roka nahin ki actor banana hai to bano. Maine yeh nai bola ki mat bano (I told them to study and try other things, but that didn’t mean they had to do something else. I never stopped them if they want to be actors, they should go ahead. I never said, ‘don’t become an actor’).”
On the work front, Bobby Deol can be seen in the upcoming film “Alpha,” also starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, which is expected to hit the theaters around Christmas 2025.
