The creators of the popular Netflix show ‘Money Heist’ are back with another intriguing project, ‘Billionaires’ Bunker’. The Spanish series has been creating waves due to its unique plot and performances. It stars Pau Simon, Miren Ibarguren, Alicia Flaco, Joaquin Furriel, Carlos Santos, Natalia Verbeke and Montse Guallar in the lead roles. As season one has ended on a big cliffhanger, it has left several questions for the viewers.
Billionaires’ Bunker Ending Explained and Recap:
At the end of ‘Billionaires’ Bunker’, Max and Asia try to leave the bunker to save Mimi, the latter’s step-mother. They want to leave the bunker as Mimi has been diagnosed with a rare disease and has to get dialysis to save her life. As the bunker does not have the treatment, Asia and Max try to escape.
However, Mimi dies despite Asia’s efforts to save her. Meanwhile, Max opens the door of the bunker, and sunlight hits his face. The show ends on a big cliffhanger, as it is not revealed what Max sees. It was earlier revealed that the apocalypse is not real, and Minvera tricked the billionaires into taking their money.
The show revolves around Max, who belongs to a rich family, but his life turns upside down when his girlfriend dies in an accident while he was driving the car. He comes out of jail to find out that the world has changed to nuclear tensions.
Despite his initial hesitation, he agrees to go to the bunker as his late girlfriend’s family will also stay there. In hopes of apologising to them, he stays at the bunker, but things do not go as planned.
Hopes for Season 2:
As ‘Billionaires’ Bunker’ ended on a big cliffhanger, the viewers are yet to find out Max’s reaction upon finding out that nuclear war is not real. The show ends with Max opening the door and it cuts to credits. It might be setting up a plot of the second season but the makers are yet to announce it.
