Bigg Boss OTT Contestant and Bhojpuri Actor Akshara Singh Receives Death Threat; Files Complaint

An unidentified man threatened the Bhojpuri actor and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 Lakh from her.

Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh, who became a household name after her participation in Bigg Boss OTT, has received a death threat. An unidentified man called her around around 12 on Wednesday and and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 Lakh from her.

Akshara has filed FIR at the Danapur police station in Patna and requested for a legal action immediately. Police has started their investigation in the matter and are trying to track the caller. Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, the in-charge of Danapur Police Station, has assured the team has been assigned the task of finding the culprit. Strict action will be taken on Akshara’s complaint very soon.

In a statement given to police, Akshara shared that she received calls from two different mobile numbers between 12: 20 and 12:21. When she answered the call, the person started abusing and threatening her, followed by a demand of Rs 50 lakh. The caller warned her to pay the amount, else he will be met with severe consequences.

This comes amid the ongoing cases of death threats given to superstars Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Mithoon Chakravarty.

Akshara made her acting debut in the 2010 action drama Satyamev Jayate, opposite Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan. She later went to appear in 2011 family drama Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. She has also been part of projects such as A Balma Bihar Wala, Satya, Tabadla, Maa Tujhe Salaam among others.
