‘Bigg Boss 19’ is finally set to premiere in a few days, and the excitement among the viewers is off the roof. From the buzz around its contestants to its unique theme, the reality show is also grabbing attention even before its launch. The latest update has grabbed maximum attention, reports suggest that Gaurav Khanna, known for his role in Anupama, has emerged as the highest paid contestant of the season.
Fame Decides The Paycheck?
Every season, Bigg Boss ropes in a contestant who charges significantly higher than the rest, with remuneration often based on their popularity and fan following. According to a report by Siyasat, Gaurav Khanna has secured the top spot this season in terms of pay.
Gaurav has earlier taken part in Celebrity MasterChef, where he even won the trophy with his cooking skills. However, the makers haven’t officially confirmed his fee.
Over the years, Bigg Boss has featured several high profile contestants who charged record breaking fees for their participation. Among them are Vivian Dsena, who was the top earner in Bigg Boss 18, along with Ankita Lokhande, Aishwarya Sharma, Sumbul Touqeer, Rubina Dilaik, Deepika Singh, Rimi Sen, and the late Sidharth Shukla. International star Pamela Anderson still holds the record as the most expensive contestant in Bigg Boss history, reportedly earning Rs 2.5 crore for just three days in the house.

Bigg Boss 19 is already creating a buzz with its speculated contestant list. Some of the popular names expected to join are Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Hunar Hali Gandhi, Siwet Tomar, Payal Gaming, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Dhanashree Verma, Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), Sreerama Chandra and Kirak Khaala. The final lineup is yet to be confirmed.

‘Bigg Boss 19’ will premiere on August 24, 2025 (Sunday), at 10:30 PM on Colors TV and JioHotstar.
Bigg Boss 19 Theme:
This year, the theme of ‘Bigg Boss 19’ is ‘gharwaalon ki sarkaar’ as the house will have democracy. However, the makers have not revealed how this theme is going to play out in the show.
Talking about the premiere, a few politicians will reportedly join the special segment. According to the popular X page BBTak, Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmad from ‘Pati Patni aur Panga’ are likely to be a part of the premiere.
All the seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ usually aired for three months, but this season is expected to expand to five months. According to a report by SCREEN, the Sikandar star will host ‘Bigg Boss 19’ only for three months, and celebrities like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor are likely to step in later.
