Although Bigg Boss 19 has wrapped up, its contestants continue to dominate social media discussions especially when it comes to their relationships outside the house. Recently, a fan reshared a clip of Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal dancing together during a task on the show which fuled speculation about their bond.
Reacting to the speculations, Amaal Mallik addressed the rumours directly through a note on X (formerly Twitter). The music composer requested fans to stop associating him romantically with Tanya, clarifying that their interactions on the show were purely task driven.
The singer wrote, “Bhai, yeh ek ‘TASK’ tha, and it’s not right if I act all egoistic and don’t do what the host or guests come and ask of us. If the show needs some people to pair up for a task, do a dance skit, or whatever it is… we have to. That’s the channel creative, and you guys are constantly making this into some nonsensical romance.”
“I am grateful to Tanya Mittal for the care and concern she has had for me this season. I know I’ve said things which must’ve hurt her and her fandom as well, but I am truly sorry for whatever I did in anger and to poke her. Just know such things happen, and that’s how one realises his or her shortcomings and works on them,” he continued.

Amaal asked fans to respect personal boundaries and stop linking him with Tanya, saying it could harm her image. He also requested both fan groups to stop attacking each other and give them space.
“So I request you all to please stop linking us and expecting us to be interacting in a certain way. Linking her constantly with me is going to tarnish her image, and it is not something she or any girl deserves to be put through. I understand you liked our friendship/camaraderie, but the fans on either side must learn to respect people and their space. My Amaalians, I request you to stop mud-slinging, and I request TaniaFans to also respectfully start doing the same. Thank you,” Amaal concluded.
During Bigg Boss 19, Amaal and Tanya were close at first, sharing small moments and supporting each other emotionally. Over time, their relationship turned sour, with Amaal accusing Tanya of being fake. Things worsened during family week when Armaan claimed Tanya was influencing Amaal against his brother.
Bigg Boss 19 ended earlier this month, with Gaurav Khanna winning the show, where Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal were among the finalists.
