Bigg Boss 18 came to an end last night with contestant Karan Veer Mehra winning the show and lifting the trophy. Vivian Dsena was the first runner-up where as Rajat Dalal secured the third position. Though Karan’s fans were elated after the winner announcement, many called out makers’ and media’s biasness towards Karan. For the unversed, Karan was previously slammed for doing paid PR and buying media for positive stories.
After he came out of the house, media questioned Karan about his victory, to which he replied, “I am very happy. Especially because you guys supported me so much. The way fans supported me and the good friends I made in the house—this victory is because of all this, and it is our victory. Thank you so much.”
Then the journalist jokingly asked him about not paying them despite winning the trophy. Karan tripped them with their hilarious response and said, “Wait, get me my Google Pay.”

Comparison With Sidharth Shukla
Karan is also being compared to Bigg Boss 13 winner and actor Sidharth Shukla, who passed away after cardiac arrest at the age of 40. His death sent shockwaves around the industry, as he was one of the most loved contestants in the history of the reality show.
When Karan was asked about the comparison, he said, “Bahut acha ladka tha wo. Mera bahut acha dost tha. Humne kaafi zyada time spend nahi kiya, but we knew each other very well. Main khush hoon ki mujhe ussey compare kiya jaa raha hai. Wo dil ka bahut bada insaan tha.”
