Bigg Boss 18 makers ended yesterday’s episode with a glimpse of the interaction between Rajat Dalal and journalist Saurabh Dwivedi. In the short video, which is circulating on social media ahead of the episode’s release, the guest journalist could be seen questioning Rajat about his criminal history.
The clip begins with Saurabh inquiring Rajat about his family and if he stays with them. To which, he replies, “Parivaar ke sath rehta hu par ek samay mera bhi ayesa tha, jab kehte hain na jawani thodi hawa leti hain toh insan thoda hawa mein chala jata hain, wo parivaar dekhna chod deta hain…” (I live with my family now, but there was a time in my life when, as they say, ‘youth can be reckless’ and a person can get carried away. At that time, one tends to ignore their family…”)
Saurabh interrupts him and goes on to mention the charges levied against the Bigg Boss 18 contestants. “Ek FIR aur hui hain aap par, unhone 365 dhaara lagaai hai,” says Saurabh. Rajat adds to it, “Kidnapping ki.” The journalist continues to mention other charges against him including 294 b- obscenity, 506- criminal intimidation.
To justify his actions and explain his intentions, Rajat goes on to narrate the entire incident. He shares, “Mere paas ke vaidh wajah thi kisiko kidnap karne ka. Na meine payse mangi, na mein dhamki dii. Ghar pe ek ghante do ghante baad agar mein kisiko chod deta hu, toh usme kidnapping ki mera kya ho sakta hain?” (“I had a valid reason to take someone. I neither demanded money nor threatened. If I release someone at my home after an hour or two, what kidnapping case can be made against me?”)
When Saurabh mentions about a controversial video and victim’s mother’s accusation that Rajat forced him to walk like a chicken, Rajat denied the claims. “Agar aap mere naam kharap karoge, mere hisab se, na meine mehendi laga rakhhi, na mein chudi pehen rakhhi… (If you tarnish my image, according to my will, since I neither have mehendi or bangles in my hands…)” Rajat also refuted accusations that the victim was hospitalised due to poor condition and said, “Sahi salamat ghar chor kar aaya hu. Uska bhi video hai mere paas,” he says.
Reason For Kidnapping
He further revealed the reason for doing it was teasing and provocation done by the other party. He adds, “Aap apne mazaak ke chakkar me gaali dekar video banaakar daal dete ho. Main koi dholak thodi hu ki aap baja kar chale jaaoge. Main insaan hi hu, koi chedega toh main chorunga nahi.” (“You make a video, using abusive language, just for the sake of humor. I am not a drum that you can play and then leave. I am a human being, and if someone provokes me, I won’t back down.”_

Rajat’s statement during this interaction has not gone down well with the audience. Fans have left several comments condemning Rajat’s aggressive behaviour and criminal mindset. Many have also asked Bigg boss 18 makers to remove him as he does not deserve a national platform like the reality show.
