Bigg Boss 18: Bigg Boss 18 finally premiered on October 6, unveiling the final list of contestants which includes names such as Vivian Dsena, Shilpa Shirodkar, Karan Veer Mehra, Muskan Bamne among others. Salman Khan gave a warm welcome and escorted each one of them to the Bigg Boss House. While, most contestants have a huge fan following and their participation have made fans excited, one name that’s drawing criticism from all corners is that of Rajat Dalal. The fitness trainer and social media sensation has made headlines in the past for all the wrong reasons – allegedly beating a Sadhu, forcing a man to drink his own urine, rash driving and what not.

Expressing their anger over Rajat’s participation, several people took to social media handles to slam the makers. They called it a desperate attempt to create controversies and rise the TRPs. Calling Rajat a criminal, one of the users wrote, “Bigg boss platforming Rajat Dalal is the lowest point in TV Industry. Rajat dalal came into limelight by beating hindu sadhus mistaking them for muslims. After that he displayed rash driving on busy roads and literally hit an innocent biker. Later he allegedly beat a minor in Ahmedabad. But even after committing so many crimes, system failed to arrest and punish him and now he got the #BiggBoss18 platform. He is a criminal and should be dealt like one!” The user further heighted how the much-loved reality show is watched by kids and hence they might get influenced by people like Rajat Dalal.

A psychologist and podcaster Manish Verma also posted a lengthy note on social media platform X and called Rajat’s participation a “A curse of capitalism.” He further mentioned about the dark past of the social media influencer and wrote, “Famous on internet by gundagardi, threatening people, booked under physical abuse and rash driving, and a serial defaulter. Now becoming a part of India’s biggest reality show and sharing stage with one of the biggest stars of bollywood. Kyu nahi honge log inspire? This is a clear and strong signal ki bhai ye sab karo aajaoge TV pe hojaoge famous aur full izzat milegi. These people get appreciated on these crazy levels and we aspire what we appreciate, it happens and it will happen.”

Manish feels it’s futile to talk about things such as “country growth, unemployment and economy” when all we are doing in glorifying criminals. He further demands removal of Rajat Dalal from Bigg Boss 18 and urges everyone to come together to raise their voice.

Meanwhile, Rajat’s videos and photos from the past have been going viral online. Watch his hit and run clip:
