Bigg Boss 18 Contestant Chum Darang: Actor Chum Darang recently entered the most popular reality show Bigg Boss Season 18 and her strong persona made people curious about her background. While Salman mentioned about Chum’s performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do, there is a lot more that you do not know about Chum. Here are five interesting thing about this Bigg Boss 18 contestant.

1- Besides being an actor, Chum is also an Indian model and entrepreneur. She has participated in several pageants including  Miss Earth India 2016, Miss Asia World 2017, Miss Tiara India International 2017. She also holds the title of Miss Sports Gear and Miss Best National costume.

2- Chum comes from a town called Pasighat, which lies in the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh. On the stage of Bigg Boss, while talking to Salman, the actor shared that she is here to represent her home state and make people aware about her culture. She has a huge and happy family comprising her parents – Tajeep Darang and Yamik Dulom Darang – and 3 siblings – Tabit Darang, Ninong Darang and Mitu Darang.

3- Darang is a well-established social activist and has been recognised by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh for her exemplary work. She has been actively involved in social causes, particularly women’s empowerment and gender equality.

4- Chum juggles several things and runs a cafe in Pasighat called Cafe Chu. Through this venture of hers, she supports local artisans and the place serves as a hub for social gatherings.

5- While her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do is widely popular, not many people know that Chum also played a Chinese infomercial girl in Amazon Prime series Pataal Lok.
