Munawar Faruqui, the winner of Bigg Boss 17, was among several individuals detained following a police raid at a hookah bar in Mumbai’s Fort area last night. The police registered a case against the individuals, who were later released after being questioned.

As per reports, the Mumbai Police’s Social Service Branch conducted a raid on the Sabalan hookah bar located at Bora Bazaar following a tip-off. The police officer stated that their team conducted the raid based on information suggesting that patrons were using tobacco-based hookahs disguised as herbal ones.
He was released after a case was filed against him. Faruqui was charged under The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 or COTPA, 2003. The raid on the hookah bar took place on Tuesday evening, with 13 others also being detained.
