Sajid told Salman on the Bigg Boss 16 grand premiere stage, “I did not have much work, have been at home for past four years. So, when the Colors team called me up, I decided I should come here and maybe learn something about myself.”
He also talked about having no work and said, “I have seen many ups and downs in my life and been very low in past four years.” When Salman interrupted to say Sajid only saw one low while it has been all an upside ride, the filmmakers added, “And that one low was a huge one.”

Additionally, Salman brought up the A-list actors that Sajid had collaborated with, and they both started listing them off. Failure is considered to ruin individuals. But in my situation, I was ruined by my achievement. With three consecutive teen successes, I developed a rather haughty attitude. I so believed I had attained infallibility and could never produce a subpar film “Sajid said.
The director said, “Upar wale ne phat karke jhapad maara ‘Himmatwala’ niche, arrogant comments de raha tha ‘Humshakals’ niche and thoda sa modest hua phir se jhapad maara. When I began making haughty remarks, the Almighty struck me, and Himmatwala fell to the ground. Humshakal ke baad to maine apni shakal hi chhupa di I tried to act humbler, but I received another smack, knocking Humshakals to the ground. After Humshakals, I hid my face.”
