Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa was released alongside Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, and there were doubts about the film’s box office success due to tough competition. Nevertheless, the horror-comedy has surpassed all records to become Kartik’s highest-grossing film. On its 10th day, which also coincided with the second Sunday, the film minted Rs 18.10 crore, taking the overall collection to Rs 216 crore.

The film has also surpassed the collection of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which had managed to make Rs 184 crore in its lifetime. Other hits given by Kartik include Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 108.95 crore), Luka Chupi (Rs 94.09 crore) and Pati Patni Aur Woh (Rs 84.56 crore).

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 arrived on Diwali, November 1 and has been ruling the hearts of the masses and dominating the box office worldwide ever since. With Kartik Aaryan returning as Rooh Baba, the film achieved the biggest opening of his career. It collected 35.5 crore on the release date, followed by 37 crore and 33.5 crore on Day 2 and 3. By the end of week 1, it made Rs 158.25 crore.
