Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain Writer Manoj Santoshi Passes Away After Suffering From Liver Related Ailment: Report

Manoj Joshi wrote popular shows like Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, Yes Boss and many more.

Popular screenwriter Manoj Santoshi passed away on March 23. He reportedly died after a long battle with liver related ailment. As per reports, Manoj passed away in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He was well known for his work in popular shows like Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan and more.

According to India Forum, a source close to Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain revealed, “Manoj passed away early morning today in his hometown Aligarh. His family was present with him.”

In February 2025, actress Kavita Kaushik revealed that Manoj was suffering due to liver related ailment and was hospitalised. She wrote, “You may know him as thw writer of Bhabhi ji ghar par hai, Happu paltan, jeeja ji chatth par , Madam may i come in , last few episodes of f.i.r , yes boss , and various other comedies…. Today i ask you all to Pray for Manoj Santoshi.. as he is in the hospital with a crumbling liver, Angels like @binaiferkohli and her entire team is fighting to save him, pls pray for this wonderful human, big shout out to the amazing @shilpa_shinde_official for taking care of him.”

She added, “let’s all pray for him to revive back , may his pen have ink for several years to come , my the world see more of his creative talent , May this team not be deprived of their friend, their bundle of creativity and joy , their buddy their partner , I’m sending love to each and every one affected by this and praying day and night for a miracle.”

His last post on shared on October 29, 2024, in which he posted his selfie.

Manoj was also the writer of Jeeja Ji Chhat Par Hain, May I Come In Madam and Yes Boss.
