Several celebrities including actor Salman Khan, singer Diljit Dosanjh and filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya recently asked people to be aware of frauds happening in their name. The step was taken after their fans reported incidents of money extortion through fake links and calls.
Let’s take a look at the three major scams happening in the entertainment world:
Fake Tickets To Diljit Dosanjh’s Concert
Booking tickets for Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati tour has become a challenge for his fans, who have now resorted to buying it in black for double the price. However, to protect people from falling prey to cybercrimes, Delhi Police issued a warning, which was further shared by Diljit ahead of his tour.
Taking to their social media handle, Delhi police posted a video of Diljit’s concert. Alongside, the caption read: “Gaana sunne ke chakkar mein ticket ke liye galat link par paise puse dekar apna band na bajva lena. Paise Puse Baare Soche Duniya, Alert Rehkar Online Fraud Se Bache Duniya.”
The quirky caption taken from Diljit’s song Born To Shine caught everyone’s attention including Diljit and his team.
Salman Khan warns of fraud tickets to his tour
Salman Khan recently took to his social media account to warn fans of a fake US tour, for which tickets are being sold by fraudsters. He clarified that neither him nor his team is aware of any such event. “This is to inform that neither Mr. Salman Khan nor any of his affiliated companies or teams are organising any upcoming concerts or appearances in the USA in 2024. Any claims suggesting that Mr. Khan will be performing are completely false. Please do not trust any emails, messages, or advertisements promoting such events,” read the post.
