‘Best Army Film Ever Made’: Netizens’ Review Of Sai Pallavi, Sivakarthikeyan-Starrer Amaran

The Tamil-language biographical action war film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan released on October 31.

Amaran Review

Rajkumar Periasamy’s military drama, Amaran, managed to bring audiences to theaters despite calls for a boycott of its lead actress, Sai Pallavi. They may have come with inhibitions, but definitely didn’t leave disappointed. Featuring Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, Amaran is based on a true story and celebrates Major Mukund’s life – his love for the nation and ultimate sacrifice for the country.

What did Netizens Say?

Besides rave reviews from the critics, the film received fabulous response from the audience, who watched the film in the first half of Day 1. One of them wrote, “The BEST ARMY FILM EVER MADE in INDIAN CINEMA!🛐🛐💥💥 If @Siva_Kartikeyan doesn’t receive national award for this , I’m losing hopes on awards!📈.” Another commented, “Best Indian army movie ever made in Tamil cinema! You will forgive all its flaws in the last 15 minutes!”

It’s a Perfect tribute to Major Mukund. @Siva_Kartikeyan‘s transformation & performance pinni pedal, easily his best among his career. He lived as Major Mukund ❤️ @Sai_Pallavi92 as Indu sollava venum, she aced it. The chemistry and romantic portions between them worked well.”

He captioned the video, “when audience gives standing ovation for a 3 hour film without leaving, it means it’s ‘PEAK CINEMA'”
