Besharam Rang

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s first duet, “Besharam Rang,” from the eagerly awaited movie Pathaan, was made public on Monday. As they danced to the upbeat song, SRK and Deepika left their fans gasping for air and gushing about how “hot” they seemed in the music video. But it appears that some Twitter users were irritated by it.

Why Boycott Pathaan trending on Twitter?

The hashtags “boycott Pathaan” and “boycott Bollywood forever” appeared on the microblogging site’s trending tab after the song’s creators published it. Numerous internet users attacked Deepika’s dance moves and bikini appearance. They were blunt, even labelling the music as “vulgar.”

“#BesharmRang is just a glorified B-Grade song. It’s pathetic and disgusting to see rich celebrities selling (naked show off) their body to make money. #INDIA is at the verge of loosing its identity & culture #BycottSRK #BycottPathaan #BycottDeepikaPadukone,” another netizen commented.

“Deepika has done over 30 movies. SRK is the so-called superstar with a 3-decade-long career in Bollywood. If they still need to do this to sell their movie, it speaks a lot abt d absolute state of B’wood and sheer garbage they produce. Pathetic,” a tweet reads.

A netizen responded to SRK’s announcement tweet by saying, “Nothing to celebrate, Sir. Not fond of human flesh all around, wrapped in few inches of cloth. Hence, I will just #BoycottPathan.”
