Social media users thought the girl in the video was Meghalaya-based Instagram influencer Sweet Zannat, resulting in widespread online harassment and mocking. People even asked for a link to the viral video in the comments section of her posts.
It carried on for several days before she felt compelled to put an end to the rumour. On November 28, 2025, Zannat made a video denying any involvement in the private video leaks while making some reasonable points. Zannat highlighted the physical distinctions between herself and the girl in the viral video.
How did Sweet Zannat debunk the viral MMS video?
Zannat further mentioned that the girl in the video spoke fluent English, which was above her ability because she had just completed class 12 and was not well-versed in English. Reports then identified the couple in the real 19-minute video as Bengali YouTubers Sofik SK and Dustu Sonali.
Zannat later disclosed that she had been distressed by a separate deepfake movie prepared by two lads from her area using artificial intelligence. The boys eventually apologised publicly in a video with Zannat present. The Influencer accepted their apologies, stating that an “elder sister” would do the same for her brothers. However, Zannat warned the guys against doing the same with other girls.
