Ballerina Trailer: The movies in the John Wick franchise has set the bar high in the action genre. The makers have decided to expand the world of John Wick by creating some spin-offs and one of the them is ‘Ballerina’. Starring Ana De Armas in the titular role, the movie will focuses on an assassin, who is on a quest to take revenge of her father’s death.

Apart from Ana De Armas, Ballerina also stars Keanu Reeves, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus in the supporting roles. Keanu will reprise his role of John Wick from the previous films. The movie is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4.
The movie will release in theatres on June 6, 2025. It is written by Shay Hatten and directed by Len Wiseman. Ballerina also marks the fifth film in the John Wick franchise.
In an earlier interview, Keanu Reeves shared his thoughts about returning as John Wick in the future instalments. While speaking at the show CBS Mornings, Keanu Reeves said, “You can never say never — but my knees right now are saying, ‘You can’t do another John Wick.” Further explaining the implications of his health, he added, “So my heart (wants to), but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”
For the unversed, the ‘John Wick’ franchise revolves around an assassin, who returns to his job after being faced to his past. The film series has four parts and a spin-off titled ‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’. Meanwhile, two untiled prequels are currently in production as well. The last film ‘John Wick Chapter 4’ was released in 2023 and also starred Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, and Ian McShane.
