Nick Carter, one of the most popular members of the famous boy band Backstreet Boys is again at the center due to serious accusations. Laura Penly, now the fourth woman to accuse Carter of sexual misconduct has filed a lawsuit saying he attacked her during a set of interactions from 2004 to 2005 when she was 19 years old. Carter, who was in his mid-20s at the time, has categorically denied all accusations against him.
According to the lawsuit reviewed by People, Penly stated that her relationship with Carter began consensually, with the pair meeting frequently during her visits to Los Angeles between December 2004 and February 2005. They reportedly had sex on three occasions. Penly claimed she consistently asked him to use protection, but Carter refused and assured her he was free of any sexually transmitted infections. “He was the first person I ever had unprotected sex with,” Penly reportedly said in the lawsuit, explaining that she trusted his assurance.

The Alleged Assault In Early 2005
Penly detailed a disturbing incident at Carter’s apartment in early 2005, where she believed they would be watching movies. Instead, she alleges Carter made it clear that her only purpose there was to have sex. According to the lawsuit, Carter then forcefully assaulted her despite her repeated verbal refusals. The suit also alleges that Carter’s actions led to her contracting HPV, which later developed into cervical cancer.
