Mumbai’s entertainment world seems to be in the grip of a babygirl boom. Everyone who is someone is proud to be the parent of baby girl, the latest being Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani who were blessed with a beautiful babygirl this week.
And they are over the moon! This is the first babygirl in Siddharth’s family after generations. His father has two sons and no daughter. Siddharth’s elder brother has two son only. So his parents were super-keen for Siddharth-Kiara to be blessed with a daughter.
Last year Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were blessed and blissed when a babygirl whom they named Dua was born. Now they can’t tear themselves away from the light of their life.
Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha too were the proud parents of a babygirl Lara last year.
Prior to that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s adorable Raha was born. Raha now accompanies her parents to their shooting.
Actor Tanuj Virwani (Rati Agnihotri’s son), whose daughter Navya was born last year, feels the baby girl boom is a good thing.
“More beautiful heroines for our film industry. I so wanted a daughter. Fatherhood has been absolutely the most magical experience of my life. Every day with Navya is an absolute blessing. And there’s so much to learn and just grow as an individual as well as a couple. And yeah, we’re just so happy and blessed that we have a beautiful babygirl to dress up everyday because it’s amazing. It’s changed my perspective on a lot of things in life.Whenever I’m out, be it for a meeting, for an event, for a shoot, Navya is constantly on my mind. And of course, we have that little baby camera so we can see her even when we’re travelling. But yeah, you just want to come home or you just want to have her with you at all times 24×7, 365 days a year. It’s like I’m addicted to my daughter. Siddharth and Kiara better get used to many sleepless nights ahead.”
