The movie stars Prabhas in dual roles with Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Subbaraju. The story focuses on Sivudu, who is a young man raised in a tribal village. Due to his curiosity for the world outside his village, he finds himself in Mahishmati and soon falls in love with a warrior. He later realises he is a prince and aims to liberate the kingdom of Mahishmati.
Part 1, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ was released in 2015 and became a massive success. At the time of its release, the movie became the highest-grossing Telugu film and the second-highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.
Its second part, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, was released in 2017 and was also a blockbuster. At the 65th National Film Awards, the movie bagged Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
