The shoot of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 was disrupted in Prayagraj after a violent altercation broke out between the film crew and locals. The incident occurred on August 27 at Thornhill Road, where the crew was filming a car sequence.
According to Additional DCP (City) Abhijeet Kumar, the film’s production head, Zoheb Solapurwala of BR Chopra Films, was allegedly attacked by locals. An FIR was lodged on August 28 at Civil Lines Police Station based on a complaint filed by line producer Saurabh Tiwari. The prime accused, Meraj Ali, has since been arrested.
Videos from the incident, now going viral, show locals arguing with the film crew before the fight turned violent. While some people tried to calm things down, others joined the attack, creating chaos on the set. The filmmakers have not released an official statement yet.
