Emraan Hashmi will return with the sequel to his hit movie ‘Awarapan’. After announcing the movie a few months ago, the actor has finally kick-started shooting for the film. The makers have shared the muhurat shot from the sets of ‘Awarapan 2’. Disha Patani has reportedly joined the film as its female lead.
Sharing the muhurat shot, the makers wrote, “Tera Mera Rishta Purana bro @emraanhashmi …”
Awarapan 2 is currently scheduled to release in theatres on April 3, 2026.
Its first part revolved around Shivam, who is a hitman and is asked to keep an eye on his boss’s mistress. Things take a turn when he finds out that she has been a victim of sex trafficking and decides to unite her with her lover. Directed by Mohit Suri and written by Shagufta Rafique, the movie also starred Shriya Saran, Mrinalini Sharma, and Ashutosh Rana.
On the work front, Emraan was recently seen in the web series ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ in a cameo role. Despite his short appearance, he has caught everyone’s attention and has been trending on social media.
He was also seen in ‘They Call Him OG’, making his Telugu debut. He will next star in ‘G2’ with Adivi Sesh.
