Atheist Krishna, a beloved meme creator and digital artist, passed away on July 23 due to pneumonia-related complications. Krishna was known for his clever jokes, photo edits, and humour. His sarcasm and creative brilliance earned him not only thousands of followers but also admiration from celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
News of his passing was shared by user @nainaverse, who posted screenshots of WhatsApp messages. Krishna had been battling health issues for a few weeks. His brother confirmed the news via WhatsApp.
“Woke up to the terrible news of @Atheist_Krishna passing away. He was one of the kindest people I met on this platform. On 10th July, he told me he was unwell and needs to be operated. He caught pneumonia. At that time, he said “it would be a miracle if I survive this.” I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Just yesterday i couldn’t wait and pinged him.. Gone too soon…,” she wrote.

Krishna was originally from Odisha and later lived in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. He became popular after making a funny video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi dancing on stage before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The video was so well made that even the Prime Minister shared it on X, saying, “Like all of you, I also enjoyed seeing myself dance. Akshay Kumar once shared in an emotional video that he saw the Prime Minister laughing at one of Krishna’s memes. “Hi Krishna, this is Akshay.
