Amid the India’s Got Latent controversy over Ranveer Allahabadia’s inappropriate comment on the show, multiple FIR’s have been lodged against all the panelists. YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani has approached the Supreme Court regarding an FIR filed against him in Guwahati, seeking either its dismissal or transfer to Mumbai.
Chanchlani’s petition requests the cancellation of an FIR which was filed at the Cyber Police Station in Guwahati. He has sought to have the case transferred to Mumbai’s Nodal Cyber Police Station, where an earlier FIR was already registered.

So far the Guwahati High Court granted an interim bail and asked him to appear before the investigating officer within 10 days but his legal team has argued that he hadn’t made any controversial statements during the show and the remarks were passed by the other panelists.
The first complaint was filed on February 10 leading to an FIR under various sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhtia, Information Technology Act, Cinematograph Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
On February 18, the Supreme Court granted Ranveer Allahbadia protection from arrest while criticizing his comments as “vulgar” and noting that his “dirty mind” had brought shame to society.
