New Delhi: A court in Bihar’s Begusarai has filed a complaint against film producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor in their web series ‘XXX’ (Web Series XXX 2) Season 2 for allegedly insulting soldiers and committing suicide. An arrest warrant has been issued for hurting the sentiments of his family members.
The court issued the warrant after Ekta and Shobha Kapoor were out of court summons. The case is based on the complaint of former soldier Shambhu Kumar, a resident of Begusarai.

Advocate Hrishikesh Pathak said, “The court had issued summons to him and asked him to appear before it on the basis of a complaint lodged by Shambhu Kumar, an ex-serviceman and resident of Begusarai. But he did not appear before the court after which a warrant was issued against him”.
Complaints filed in other places
It is worth noting that earlier cases were registered against Ekta Kapoor in other places related to the web series. An FIR was registered in Indore against producer Ekta Kapoor and others for allegedly hurting religious sentiments, insulting army personnel and misusing the national emblem in the web series ‘XXX Season 2’.

According to the police, an FIR was registered at Annapurna Police Station in 2020 under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act. Complainant Neeraj Yagnik said that he complained about the matter after seeing the objectionable use of the national emblem and army uniform in the web series.
A similar complaint was filed against producers Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor in a Muzaffarpur court in Bihar for allegedly insulting Army personnel and their family members in Alt Balaji’s XXX web series.
