Ranveer Singh is poised to step into the iconic role of Don in Farhan Akhtar’s Don franchise. As previously reported by Pinkvilla, Kriti Sanon has been finalized as the female lead, and in a recent development, Pinkvilla reported that Arjun Das is in advanced talks to play the film’s main antagonist.
A source shared with Pinkvilla, “After playing characters with grey shades in films like Master, Kaithi, Vikram, Good Bad Ugly, and soon to be released OG, Arjun Das is in talks to make his Hindi debut. Farhan Akhtar and team are in talks with Arjun to come on board Don 3 as the main antagonist. Arjun has shown his interest too, as the character has multiple arcs and a lot more than just a run-of-the-mill antagonist.”
The source further added insight into Ranveer Singh’s preparations: “Ranveer will be undergoing workshops to get the mannerisms of Don right. He will be bringing in his own elements to the character, and is excited to embark on an action-packed journey with Farhan Akhtar from the month of January.”

Farhan Akhtar’s team is also pulling out all stops on the technical side. “The idea is to bring in a new world of action with Don 3. Excel Entertainment is also looking to shoot most of the film at real locations, including the big action sequences, to bring in an element of realism to what reflects on the screen,” the source further revealed.
Ranveer Singh is currently wrapping up his shoot for Dhurandhar. Meanwhile, as previously reported by Pinkvilla, Don 3 is expected to go on floors by the end of October. A source revealed that Ranveer will begin his preparations for the film from late October. “Ranveer begins his prep work for Don 3 from the end of October, with the intent of starting shoot from the month of January. He will be having script reading sessions with Farhan, and also work with the action team. Big action sequences are being planned with Ranveer,” the source informed.
