Archana Puran Singh has become an integral part of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and has been busy promoting its second season. As she has been working in the film industry for over three decades, she knows how actors stay professional even in their difficult times. In a recent interview, the actress revealed how she had to continue shooting at Kapil Sharma’s show set after she heard about her mother-in-law’s death. She revealed she had to laugh even after hearing the devastating news.
While sharing the incident in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Archana said, “I have laughed and imagined, in my head, what is going on now that my mother-in-law has just died. I don’t know how I laughed. This is 30-40 years you spend in an industry and you know the producer’s money is invested in this. You can’t leave your work incomplete.”
She revealed that her husband understood her situation. She further added, “I know that you said it was dark. I could not see anything; I knew there was a mic and when they said action, I laughed, laughed and laughed. And then In the movie Mera Naam Joker, it is said that the show must go on.”
Archana also explained that she has been in difficult situations several times, where she does not feel like smiling. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ star added, “Things were so bad at home and someone’s health was not okay, but I went to the vanity van, got my makeup and would often call home and check-up. Fir, set par jake, ‘Haha, very nice, very nice.'”
On the work front, Archana has starred in several hit movies including ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Krrish’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘De Dana Dan’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’, among others. She later became a judge of comedy shows like ‘Comedy Circus’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
