AP Dhillon Tour: AP Dhillon has finally announced his much-awaited India Tour in support of his EP The Brownprint. The 3-day long celebration of his music will kicks off in Mumbai on December 7 and ends in Chandigarh on December 21, with a stop in New Delhi on December 14.
Taking to his Instagram handle, AP Dhillon posted a video showcasing glimpses of his performances, alongside a heartfelt caption that read, “I’ve been waiting to go back to where it all started. To the fans who have made me who I am. To the place I will always call home. INDIA LETS GO.” He also mentioned in the caption that the tickets will go on sale September 29 onwards.
AP Dhillon India Tour: Why are fans upset?
Though the fans were looking forward to his return to India, this announcement has left them disheartened and disappointed. Many questioned the artiste for his limited city selection, labelling the tour as misleading.
“3 cities me concert karne ko India tour bolte hain!!”, commented one Insta user, while another wrote, “Itna sa hi karna hai toh mat aa bhai”. Another one read, “You can’t just to 3 cities and call it India tour. ADD MORE CITIES”.
Many also tried to convince him to come to their respective cities. “Lucknow ke kebab are too famous, just saying,” a fan wrote as she tried to tempt the singer to come to her hometown. One fan questioned the singer and wrote, “Bangalore ne kya bigaada hai.”
There was no dearth of hilarious comments on the post. Many people mocked Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh’s concert tickets selling out within minutes, joking that they don’t hold out hope for attending Dhillon’s event either, as tickets will likely sell out quickly.
The Punjabi artiste is returning to his home country after 3 years, after his last show in 2021. He will be accompanied by his long-time collaborator Shinda Kahlon. Dhillon’s performance will include a mix of Dhillon’s classic hits and his recent releases including Brown Munde, Excuses, Insane, With You, alongside songs from his recently released EP, such as Bora Bora and Old Money.
The Brownprint Tour will also introduce India to 360-degree concert stage design. This innovative stage, a first for the event industry in India, promises to offer an immersive and inclusive experience for all attendees, regardless of their ticket type.
