Dr. Shriram Nene, husband of Madhuri Dixit, had earlier revealed in a podcast that Anushka shared how difficult it was to enjoy success in India due to constant public scrutiny.

Recalling his interaction with Anushka, Dr Nene had said, “I’ll tell you something, and this is what you learn, they all put their pants on one leg at a time. We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success (here). And we appreciate what they go through, because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated.”

Anushka and Virat met in 2013 while shooting for an advertisement. For many years, they kept their relationship private and got married in 2017 in a very private ceremony in Italy. Their daughter Vamika was born in 2021 and in February 2024, they welcomed son Akay.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka was away from the big screen after ‘Zero’ released in 2018. Now she is going to return to the silver screen once again through cricketer Jhulan Goswami’s biopic ‘Chakda Express’. On the other hand, Virat Kohli’s RCB won its first IPL title in June.

‘It is particularly difficult for…’: Why Nehru was not in favour of keeping Vande Mataram as India’s national anthem?

As Parliament debates Vande Mataram, Nehru’s 1948 letters re-emerge, where he said the song’s tune was difficult, mournful and hard to understand, making it unsuitable as a national anthem.
