Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has been leaving a lasting impression with his acting in several projects. He has now joined the cast of the Telugu film ‘Dacoit’, and the team announced this news on his birthday. Adivi Sesh, who will be seen in the lead role in ‘Dacoit’, shared a fun video of Kashyap from the set.
In the video, the filmmaker is seen grooving to the ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast’ song on the sets of ‘Dacoit’, leading to the cast and crew laughing. Sharing the video, Adivi wrote, “Many many happy returns of the day sir @anuragkashyap10 Your wisdom, your brilliance and most importantly, your compassion…have made this #DACOIT experience beautiful. Happy birthday to our ‘Swamy’!”
Mrunal Thakur also shared the same video on Instagram to welcome Anurag Kashyap to the team. He wrote, “Team #Dacoit wishes ‘Inspector Swamy’ aka the multi faceted @anuragkashyap10 sir a very Happy Birthday. He brings flair, aura and stature to the character like only he can #DACOIT IN CINEMAS WORLDWIDE ON DECEMBER 25th.”
Adivi has shared several BTS clips from the sets of ‘Dacoit’. He earlier posted some glimpses of Mrunal Thakur’s birthday from the set. Sharing a heartwarming note for Mrunal on her birthday, he wrote on Instagram, “Dear @mrunalthakur – putting this early message on here because tomorrows a big day for you! It’s so rare and inspiring to meet ….not just a good actress but …a truly good human being. ‘Dacoit’ also stars Prakash Raj. It will release in theatres on December 25, 2025. Earlier, Shruti Haasan was roped in as the female lead but she opted out of the project due to unknown reason. Mrunal replaced her as the female lead.
