TV actor Ankit Gupta has officially backed out of the much-awaited show ‘Terre Ho Jaayein Hum,’ where he was supposed to be back with speculated former girlfriend Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. This news arrives in the midst of increasing speculations regarding their relationship status as fans spotted the couple have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Gupta revealed why he decided to step away from the Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta production. He stated “Yes, I backed out of the project with Ravi-Sargun. I don’t think I would be able to commit to that project right now. Maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge. As I said, that’s probably why I won’t do Khatron Ke Khiladi this year either. I’m just taking time for myself, so I’m not thinking about work at the moment.”

The exit is a major change in plans for Dreamiyata Drama, the new channel produced by producers Dubey and Mehta. Last month, they had made the ‘Udaariyaan’ lead actors stars of their next, creating quite a buzz among viewers who were huge fans of the on-screen pair. Updates now indicate that although the production will go ahead, Priyanka will presumably share screen space with a different hero.
The Udaariyaan serial couple met on the show where their on-screen relationship won the hearts of the audience, making them television’s most loved couple. They subsequently appeared on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 16, although both kept insisting they were merely friends. After their Bigg Boss appearance, they appeared together in several music videos, which further stoked relationship speculations.

Though the Instagram unfollowing has fueled breakup rumors, neither actor has commented publicly on their status and also they have not deleted any of their pictures together on Instagram.
