Animal: Despite Giving ‘A’ Certificate, Censor Board Chops, Modifies These Scenes

The board have scissored the scenes which included intimacy, or foul words in the film which could have been controversial.

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Animal’ is all set to release in theatres this week. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted 'A' certificate to the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial and demanded some changes in the film. According to a viral post doing rounds on social media, the board has demanded 5 changes to the film. The board have scissored the scenes that included intimacy, or foul words in the film which could have been controversial. Let’s look at the changes made by CBFC-
  1. The Censor Board has replaced the word 'Costume' as 'Vastra' and the dialogue 'Kabhi nahi' and 'Kya bol rahe ho aap.'
  2. The word 'Natak' has been muted and the subtitles, 'You change pads four times a month' has been changed.
  3. The word 'Black' in the film has been modified.
  4. The cuss words in the film has been modified, wherever they occur
  5. The intimate visuals of Vijay and Zoya have been modified by deleting the close-up shots of the two.
Earlier, while speaking with The Hindu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had said that 'Animal' is only for adult audience and that he himself will not take his son to watch the film. The film also stars Bobby Deol in a pivotal role.
