Sidharth Malhotra is set to star in an upcoming comedy film directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, with producers Mahaveer Jain Films (MJF) and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. The makers are currently in discussions with Ananya Panday and Sreeleela for the female lead.
An industry insider shared to Bollywood Hungama, “They are in discussion with Sreeleela and Ananya Panday. The makers are in advanced talks with both of them. They hope to reach a conclusion soon after which they’ll take a call.”
The insider further added “Both actresses are stunning and are also fine performers. Ananya has proven her worth time and again; she was recently seen in Kesari Chapter 2 wherein she left a huge mark. Sreeleela, meanwhile, too has been doing great work, and she got a pan-India boost with the super-success of the song ‘Kissik’ in Pushpa 2 – The Rule and it will be interesting to see which actress bags the part.”

According to earlier reports from Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled comedy film is scheduled to begin shooting in September 2025. A source revealed, “The yet untitled film is an out and out big budget comedy entertainer, and the entire team – from Sidharth Malhotra to Mahaveer Jain and Raaj Shaandilyaa – are excited to take it on floors towards the second half of 2025. The characters and world have the potential to lead itself to a one-of-its-kind high concept franchise.”
Sidharth Malhotra’s Upcoming Projects
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra has a busy slate ahead. He is working on Vvan, a mythological thriller directed by Deepak Mishra and produced by Ekta Kapoor. He is also wrapping up Dinesh Vijan’s Param Sundari, opposite Janhvi Kapoor, which is set to release on July 25. Additionally, he will star alongside Saif Ali Khan in Race 4.
