An old video of Amrita Singh has been doing the rounds on social media, recently shared by a Reddit user. In the clip, she opens up about the lowest point in her life and surprisingly, it wasn’t her divorce from Saif Ali Khan.
In the resurfaced interview, Pooja Bedi asks her “Do you think your divorce was the worst crisis you’ve ever faced in your life?” Amrita firmly replies“No! The worst crisis of my life was losing my mother. That was the worst crisis because that’s the only identity and the only pillar I’ve really had in my life. I had no other family other than my mother. I come from a broken home, no siblings, and I only lived with my mother. Losing her was a huge blow.”
She continues, “And then when Ibrahim was born, he got very unwell. That was the second nasty blow in my life. So, my divorce comes much lower down on the list of shocks.”

Saif Ali Khan married Amrita Singh in 1991, and they had two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The duo ended their marriage in 2004. Saif then tied the knot with Kareena Kapoor in 2012, and they have two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
