Times Now has learned from a source that Jaya Bachchan called Sajid Nadiadwala, the film’s producer, as soon as she heard the title of Akshay Kumar’s movie. Jaya had informed Sajid that using her family’s last name for the movie was inappropriate. In addition to this, Jaya had requested that the movie’s name should be changed.
The insider claimed that Sajid had declined to comply. With barely a few days till the movie’s release, Sajid informed Jaya that he was powerless to take action at this time. But the producer spelled Bachchan Pandey to Bachchhan Paandey to honor Jaya’s remarks.
Srivastava is the Bachchan family’s actual surname. Harivasharai Bachchan, Amitabh’s father, went by Bachchan. For this reason, he thought it inappropriate to adopt it as the movie’s title.
