Bollywood Actor Amitabh Bachchan has finally broken his silence on Sunday (May 11, 2025) amid the rising India-Pakistan tensions after days of cryptic silence. In a heartfelt social media post, he condemned the brutal Pahalgam terror attack and concluded with a line from a poignant poem by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
Reflecting on the verses of the legendary Hindi poet on X, Bachhan wrote, “Chhuttiyan maante hue, us raakshas ne, nirdosh pati-patni ko baahar kheench kar, pati ko nagn kar, uske dharm ki poorti karne ke baad, use jab goli maarne laga, to patni ne, ghutnon pe gir kar, ro-ro kar anurodh karne ke baad bhi, ki uske pati ko na maaro; uske pati ko us buzdil raakshas ne, behed berahmi se, goli maar kar, patni ko vidhwa bana diya!!”
He further wrote, ” Toh Raakshas ne kaha “Nahi! Tu Jaake “…” ko bata”! Beti ki, man:stithi par, Pujya Babuji ki ek kavita ki pankti yaad aayi: maano, vo beti “….” ke paas gayi, aur kaha: “Hey Chita ki raakh kar mein, maangti sindur duniya”… (बाबूजी की पंक्ति) तो “ …. “ ने दे दिया सिंदूर !!! Pakistan Ceasefire Violation
After days of intense fighting using missiles, drones, and heavy artillery, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire last night. However, Pak violated the ceasefire after an understanding was reached between the DGMOs of the two countries for the stoppage of firing and military action. The neighbouring initiated unprovoked firing on BSF posts late Friday night along the International Border in the Jammu sector.
The violation prompted a swift and befitting response from the BSF, which foiled the neighbouring country’s ill intentions to harm India. At a special briefing last night, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said this is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today and India takes “very serious note of these violations”.
