Ikkis is scheduled to release in December 2025 but the makers are yet to officially announce its final release date. The film is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21 — honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
While speaking to PTI, director Sriram Raghavan talked about the plot of ‘Ikkis’. He shared, “It is a bigger production; there will be tank battles and all those things that happen in a war film. But it is also a human story; it’s a drama, a coming-of-age kind of a thing.”
Apart from Agastya, the movie also stars Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia.
