In August, he revealed the severe breathing issues he was facing, describing it as akin to having “a plastic bag around your head.” By November, he admitted to struggling with daily activities, saying, “I can hardly walk across a room.”

News of Lynch’s passing has left Hollywood in mourning. Director Ron Howard expressed, “#RIPDavidLynch, a gracious man and fearless artist who proved that radical experimentation could yield unforgettable cinema.” Comedian Patton Oswalt paid a surreal homage in Lynch’s signature style, saying, “At least that’s what the horse wearing a fez just told me in a dream.
