Controversy Surrounding The Film
Amaran was in news even before its release. The controversy surrounding the film erupted after its actor Sai Pallavi went to National War Memorial ahead of the film’s release and shared pictures on social media. Netizens however, dug out an old interview of her, in which she compared Indian Army to Indian terrorist, and slammed her.
During the interview, Pallavi had commented, “People in Pakistan view our army as a terrorist group, just as we might see them the same way. Perspectives change. I don’t understand violence.” This led to backlash against the actor, who urged everyone to boycott Sai Pallavi. It is to be noted that Pallavi’s comment was taken out of context.
