New Delhi: Giant streamer Netflix added the teaser for the upcoming movie Amar Singh Chamkila to its impressive lineup. Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra are featured in the Imtiaz Ali-directed film. The film tells the unsung true story of Punjab’s first rock singer, Amar Singh Chamkila, who rose to fame in the 1980s after escaping poverty.

On May 30, Netflix released the breath-taking teaser for the upcoming movie. The performer who sold the most records during his era was killed at just 27 years old. He is still recognised as one of Punjab’s all-time greatest live stage performers. The master composer AR Rahman provided the soundtrack for the movie.
Netflix shared the teaser and wrote, “o naam saalon se aapke dil aur dimaag pe chaaya hai woh ab aapke saamne aaya hai…Watch the untold story of Punjab’s highest record-selling artist, Amar Singh Chamkila. coming soon only on Netflix!”
The teaser shows Diljit Dosanjh being introduced on stage in front of a small portion of the audience. Diljit and Parineeti have both contributed their voices to a few of the movie’s songs, heightening the anticipation.
