Allu Arjun has been involved in the controversy after a woman died and a child got injured due to stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2. The actor had surprised his fans by visiting the screening of Pushpa 2 in Sandhya Theatre but it caused ruckus and the death of a woman. Allu Arjun, who was earlier arrested in connection to this case, recently broke silence on his ongoing character assassination after this tragic incident. He called the stampede incident ‘an unfortunate accident’ and shared that he is getting hourly update of the injured boy.
Sharing the health update of the injured boy, Sri Tej, Allu Arjun said at the press conference, “I am getting hourly updates about how the kid is doing. He is progressing. The only good thing is that the boy is getting better.”
Addressing his character assassination, he added, “The main reason for the press meet is that there is a lot of miscommunication, misinformation and wrong allegations. I am feeling extremely humilated by the character assassination.”
Allu Arjun held this press conference after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that the actor added the film’s screening despite police’s warning against it. CM Reddy said, “Before entering the theatre and while exiting, the actor stood through the sunroof of his car and waved to the crowds, leading to thousands of fans jostling to get a glimpse of him.”
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun earlier announced the donation of Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family.
